That’s why we’re grabbing National Lazy Day with two hands, and plan to sit back and do nothing all day, except drink wine!On the 10th August, National Lazy Day commences - a day that is aimed to calm the stressed out and rundown individuals among us. That means no more thinking about work, or the gym, or even the amount of chores you have to do; the day is all about slobbing on the sofa eating your body weight in snacks.
And if you’re still not sure how exactly to be lazy on a lazy day, the Two Essentials team have put together a list of how you can make the most of National Lazy Day.● Stay In Bed - Forget about waking up at 6am to get ready for work, take a well-deserved lie-in and once you naturally wake up, why not stay in bed for the day? Grab your laptop and lots of snacks, load up the Netflix and spend the whole binging on boxsets!
● Forget About Getting Dressed - You’ve already slept in until 10am so what’s the point in even getting dressed! Plus, there’s nothing more comfy than plodding around the house in your pjs, a dressing gown and some fluffy slippers.
● Order a Takeaway - It’s National Lazy Day; you can’t exert yourself by cooking! Let someone else do the work for once and order in a pizza or a Chinese. Plus, plastic pots and cardboard boxes mean no washing up is required!
● Throw Away Your Phone - Unless you’re meaninglessly scrolling through Twitter, chuck away that phone right now! Lock it in your safe, place it in a drawer or even give it to your partner, we don’t care - just remember that nothing good comes from unexpected calls or visitors.
● Grab a Glass! -Recent studies have shown that alcohol, in particular red wine, has stress-reducing properties. As a central nervous system depressant, alcohol works to calm our nerves with it’s natural sedating effect on the body.
